haikugirl presents
a romantic spy movie
Love, Spies & Fruit Flies

Building on her success with documentary, haikugirl directed Love, Spies & Fruit Flies in only 48 hours during the weekend of October 24-26, 2008. Team haikugirl scripted, shot and edited this 6-minute romantic spy movie in just 2 days and entered it into 2 competitions: the 48 Hour Film Project/Toronto and the National Film Challenge (NFC).

HUGE THANKS to everyone on Team haikugirl (you know who you are!), to Peter L. & Rich for the mics, and to the Staff & Patrons of the Hargrave Pub for a fantastic, fun-filled, filmmaking weekend last October! The pub is now reopened as the Seanachaí which means “Storyteller” in Gaelic and has the best Irish Stew in town! Thanks to everyone who came to our world premiere screening on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 4pm at the Bloor Cinema. The whole team voted for LSFF but unfortunately we didn’t win. At least you can gloat to your family and friends that you made a movie in a weekend ;-)
